Join UsThe television world was taken aback when the news of Kushal Punjabi’s demise surfaced online. The Ishq Mein Marjawan actor committed suicide on December 27 when he was found dead in his Bandra house. The news was broken by his close friend Karanvir Bohra on social media leaving everyone shocked.
Yesterday, a prayer meeting for the actor was arranged in Khar for his friends, relatives and close ones to pay their last respects. Many television stars including Kavita Kaushik, Karanvir Bohra, Chetan Hansraj, Manish Goel, Hussain Kuwajerwala attended the prayer meet.
Kushal Punjabi’s wife Audrey Dolhen also flew in from Shanghai to attend the meet. Audrey covered her face while leaving from the venue as the media surrounded her. Reports suggested that Kushal took away his life due to the problems in his marriage with Audrey Dolhen. The actor’s BFF Chetan Hansraj even confirmed the same later.
A report by Hindustan Times revealed, “Hansraj said that Punjabi was trying to convince her to shift to London from Shanghai where she had joined a multinational company at a top post. Punjabi was not happy with the work here in Mumbai and had thought that if he shifted to London, he would get a chance to work there. However, his wife allegedly did not show interest in doing so.”

The police had earlier also found a suicide note where it was mentioned how his asset would be distributed amongst his family. While he asked to proffer 50 per cent of his property to his mom, dad and sister and the remaining 50 per cent to his 3-year-old son, Kiaan, he left nothing for his wife Audrey Dolhen.
