The short film released yesterday and fans are can’t stop praising the actress. Koimoi got a chance to interact with the Hacked actress about her new project and much more.
When asked what appealed her about Smart Phone, Khan said, “The script of course, which is also my biggest criteria of going forward with any project I take up! Moreover the message that the story brings out is what really appealed to me. It is all about women empowerment and showcasing how one should never underestimate anybody! So the fact that through my role I would be bringing out such a strong message, totally inclined towards the short film.”
In the short film, Hina Khan plays the role of a house wife. In her debut show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the actress played a similar role yet it was completely different. When asked how did she prep for it, Hina shared, “There was a lot of preparation required for this particular character. She is very different from what I have played on screen earlier. From the typical desi accent to the way my character dresses and even giving her the authentic desi personality, it was all quite a challenge, but something I really enjoyed working on.”

When the actress’ look for the short film was revealed, many compared it with Anushka Sharma’s look for her 2018 film Sui Dhaaga. About the comparison, Khan stated, “Yes, I did read about that online and it was honestly a pleasant surprise! Though I am quite happy that the presentation of my character is so relatable to people and actually proved to be such an instant connect.”
