It’s always a dilemma to like or not to like the lead characters of Breaking Bad. From liking Bryan Cranston’s Walter White to hating him, the journey for fans has been exciting. During its time, the show managed to create and break many records in the world. Walt’s character arc was one of the main reasons for the show’s success.
This Vince Gilligan series undoubtedly had a great fan following all over the world. But a lot of Hollywood celebs and artists were also in awe of it. The actors, twists, crime, and suspense keep viewers hooked to it. One such avid viewer of Breaking Bad was Game of Thrones writer, George R.R. Martin.
George R.R. Martin used to watch the show episode by episode. In 2013, he called Walter White a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros. In our Breaking Bad Trivia #3 today, we will tell you more about it. It all happened after George watched the episode ‘Ozymandias’ from season 5. In this episode, we get to see the ugly side of Walt. After watching it, Martin shared on his blog, “Amazing episode last night. Walter White is a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros. (I need to do something about that.)”
The Game of Thrones writer further wrote, “This is the final season of BREAKING BAD. I think GAME OF THRONES may have a shot at upsetting BB for this year’s Emmy (only a shot, though, I think they are the clear favorite), which pits us against their previous season… but there’s no way in hell that anyone is going to defeat BREAKING BAD next year, when their last season is the one in contention.”
Well, that was the effect of Breaking Bad. That’s why it is called one of the best television series ever made!
