It has more than doubled the previous record holder, Avatar’s entire IMAX run.

The Odyssey’s IMAX collection has contributed a massive chunk to the format’s 2026 earnings. The format is on a record-breaking streak this year. It has already witnessed its highest-grossing year ever and is looking to enhance its collections with upcoming releases. IMAX screens will be a primary platform for the upcoming Indian film Ramayana and Hollywood releases Godzilla Minus Zero and Dune: Part Three. All of this is set to contribute to a massive total for IMAX screens worldwide.
