So, remaking a beloved classic is difficult. Ram Charan’s choice to make his Bollywood debut with a remake of Zanjeer is still considered a brave choice. In 2013, while promoting the film, he spoke about an anecdote of how a ‘big star’ questioned his choices to star in the remake.

Speaking to a portal in 2013, he said, “A ‘big star’ in Bollywood recently told me, ‘Do you know what you’ve gotten yourself into? Zanjeer is a movie every Indian has in his library. His son doesn’t want to attempt it because it’s too much of a burden. Why do you want to do it?’. I just said, ‘Sir, let me tell you I was born to handle pressure. I’ve had people coming to me and saying I have to fill my dad’s shoes.’ But with Mr Bachchan’s film, the shoes just got bigger!”

The Magadheera star’s response has left fans in awe of his confidence. Because there is a level of unabashed awareness of his star status, Ram was always very self-aware of people’s expectations of him.

After the roaring success of RRR and breaking and creating new records, Ram Charan’s next most anticipated release is the Shankar directorial. The movie was tentatively titled RC 15 and has been renamed to Game Changer. The film also stars Kiara Advani, who is opposite Ram Charan.

He previously made a brief cameo appearance in the Salman Khan movie Kisi ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan.
