Vijay Sethupathi, the Maharaja actor who had a wonderful 2024 at the box office, has been in the news for his upcoming film Viduthalai 2 directed by Vetrimaaran. Vijay is known for choosing scripts that have importance to his character in the film and not just any random script.
In recent times, the actor was rumored to star in Ram Charan’s starrer, RC 16. Speculations of Vijay Sethupathi playing a pivotal role in Ram Charan’s next film with director Buchi Babu Sana were all over the internet.
Finally, the Merry Christmas actor chose the right platform to speak about this and cleared the air. Vijay Sethupathi was in Hyderabad to promote Vidudala 2 and when the media asked him about being part of RC16, he denied these false rumors as he said the story is good, but the character is not good enough for me.

He clarified, “I don’t have time. I am listening to a lot of stories. Sometimes, the story is good, but the character is not enough for me.” This statement has put an end to the speculation surrounding his involvement in RC 16.
The shooting of RC 16 is currently underway, and updates about the project are expected soon. Jhanvi Kapoor is the leading lady of the film which has Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar in the pivotal role. Also, it is said that the role that was offered to Vijay has gone to the versatile Shiva Rajkumar.
Ram Charan is all set to return to screens with the Shankar directorial Game Changer opposite Kiara Advani, releasing on Sankranti. Sethupathi fans are eagerly waiting to see which Telugu big-budget film he will be a part of next. His new Tamil film Vidudala 2 is all set to release on 20th December.
