Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo is one of the much-awaited films of the year. The film was released worldwide with a lot of fanfare, and it is having a dream run at the box office. The film marks the second collaboration of Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after ‘Master’.

Following the film’s release, composer Anirudh Ravichander received substantial praise for his background music and songs. Anirudh and the film’s creators unveiled the song “Original Person” on YouTube just yesterday. However, the song is now making the headlines for the wrong reason.

Upon the release of Anirudh Ravichander’s “Original Person” on YouTube, a group of individuals swiftly noted its resemblance to the ‘Peaky Blinders‘ ‘I’m no Outsider’ track by Otnicka and Duke Luke. This criticism surfaced at a moment when Anirudh had been riding high on consecutive triumphs with “Jailer,” “Jawan,” and “Leo,” garnering well-deserved acclaim for his outstanding musical compositions and songs.

Take a look both videos below:

Otnicka replied to his fans, pointing out that he was unaware of his song being used in ‘Leo’. He also wrote, “The label does not own the copyright and cannot grant a license without the artist’s knowledge. No one contacted me and the team (sic).”

Anirudh Ravichander is a self-proclaimed fan of ‘Peaky Blinders’. His fans defended him, saying that the ‘Original Person’ track was inspired by ‘Peaky Blinders’ and not copied.

This movie features a screenplay penned by Lokesh, Rathna Kumar, and Dheeraj Vaidy. An action-packed spectacle showcases a star-studded cast, including Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon in pivotal roles. Supporting the main cast are Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and numerous other talented actors.

‘Leo,’ produced by Seven Screen Studio, boasts a captivating musical score composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s visual appeal is masterfully crafted by cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, while the seamless editing is credited to Philomin Raj.
