Manoj Bajpayee is off on a new mission. No, we are not talking about a new season of The Family Man! In Last Man In Tower, the actor is now taking up an issue in a small society in Mumbai, a matter that can be relatable to many in this city of dreams. Many societies in Mumbai are undergoing redevelopment, and Manoj’s next mission revolves around it. And this time, he will be facing another versatile actor – Boman Irani. The film already sounds interesting, right?
The upcoming film sees Manoj Bajpayee play an older man who decides to fight for his Mumbai society. Manoj Bajpayee plays Yogesh Mishra, who refuses to back down when a builder wants to bring down their colony and construct a new project. Mishra decides to oppose the project, but he needs the support of the colony’s residents. Will he be able to convince everyone to come on his side? That’s what the story is centered around.
Last Man In Tower is based on Aravind Adiga’s book, which he also wrote. This will be his second book to be adapted for a film. Like The White Tiger, the upcoming film features an interesting, well-rounded protagonist. In the trailer alone, we see Manoj Bajpayee’s character as a man of very few words but one who is principled. He is not a person who is loved by many. In the trailer, he is described as a man who goes against popular choice. We see his determination as he stands up for a cause he strongly believes in.
