Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are all set to reunite on the big screen after 18 years. This time, they are coming together for a Priyadarshan film. However, it is nothing like what we have seen the duo do on screen before. Moreover, this isn’t Priyadarshan’s usual comedy genre either. Instead, it promises to be quite intense and lethal.
Meanwhile, the makers of Priyadarshan’s upcoming directorial have unveiled the film’s trailer. Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist, a serial killer. He is after Saif Ali Khan’s character’s life in the film. However, Saif is a blind man accompanied by a young girl. As a result, the trailer remarkably builds the setup for a dark, murky world, which I am honestly quite intrigued by.
The title Haiwaan in itself indicates that this is not going to be a fun film. From the trailer, it seems that Akshay Kumar plays a smart killer with psychopathic tendencies. He has killed 7 families brutally and has no remorse.

Saif Ali Khan looks impressive as a blind man trying to protect himself from an unknown threat. We also see him serve prison time in the trailer while also being responsible for a young girl. As much as he has an easy-going personality offscreen, it is fun to watch Saif go all-in on the big screen and be part of a smart storyline.
The trailer is very well cut without revealing too much about the film and its characters. It gives the right amount of intrigue to keep you hooked. The music also works well in the trailer, especially as the chase between Saif and Akshay’s characters intensifies.
Also noteworthy is Akshay Kumar‘s return as the villain. The actor is known for bringing a lot of swag when he plays the villain on screen. Previously, he has played the bad guy in films like 2.0, Ajnabee, Blue, and Khiladi 420. And needless to say, the Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan combo has been a hit, and we can’t wait to see how the director presents the actor in a negative role in an intense thriller.
