The film has Vijay’s 2016 release Pelli Choopulu‘s director Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyamin in lead.
The title of the film was only unveiled two days back, as Vijay and Tharun shot a unique and funny video to make the title official.
While we were finding it painfully hard to break into the Industry and make a film, I decided..

It was with Pelli Choopulu Vijay went on to become a household name. As it was his first film in lead and the film was declared a blockbuster hit when it was released and the film also earned National Film Award in 2016 under Best Feature Film category in Telugu.
The Arjun Reddy star has immense respect and he shares a great rapport with Tharun, and thus he wanted none other than the latter to be his lead actor in the film.
Meeku Maathrame Cheptha also has Anasuya Bharadwaj along with Naveen George Thomas, Abhinav Gomtham and others in major roles.
The comedy-drama is being helmed by debutant director Shameer Sultan and is produced under Vijay’s production house King Of The Hills Entertainments.
Meeku Maathrame Cheptha is slated for release early next year.
