The news of Robert Downey Jr’s to the Holmes’ universe with Sherlock Holmes 3 made the fans excited. Dexter Fletcher replaces Guy Ritchie and many have their reservation about this decision. Fletcher did his small stint with Rami Malek’s Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody but he wasn’t credited as the final director.
New and fresh updates regarding Sherlock Holmes 3 are doing rounds on social media. The release date aimed is December 2021 and there’s still a whole lot of time to witness some major changes. The script has been worked upon but the pre-production process came to halt because of the current global crisis.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law will make a comeback in Sherlock Holmes retaining their roles of Holmes & Watson respectively. Both of them were loved in the first two instalments and got a huge chunk of fan following. Though it was hard for Robert Downey Jr. to break out of the stereotype of being Iron Man, he managed to impress his fans. Sebastian Moran will also see the return of Paul Anderson in the film.
Dexter Fletcher in an interview told Collider, “We’re different filmmakers and I’m not going to ignore what he did so brilliantly before. I mean there will be an element of that, but I will also bring my own voice to it as well and it will be something sort of different. I suppose that’s the idea of bringing in someone new. We’ll see what happens.” He also revealed that Guy Ritchie is aware of this project and is all cool with it.
A slated release date for Sherlock Holmes 3 is December 22, 2021, but it’s yet to be seen if and when there are changes to its schedule.
