Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced film producer and convicted s*x offender, has misbehaved with many Hollywood celebs, including Jennifer Lawrence, Salma Hayek, Cate Blanchett, and more. When he was all over the news, many actresses were questioned about him, whether they were victims of his s*xual abuse. However, the Pirates of the Caribbean fame Keira Knightley once revealed that Weinstein never targeted her, and she knew that he was a womanizer.
Keira is known for her period dramas Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. She gained millions of fans after appearing as Elizabeth Swan alongside Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The franchise earned millions of dollars and made Depp one of the most prominent and highest-paid actors. After doing three films, Keira exited the franchise and returned briefly in the fifth installment.
Harvey Weinstein’s cases started to come out in the open a few years back, leading to the #MeToo movement in Hollywood. Many women came out and accused him of sexual abuse, and he finally got convicted and is currently serving his sentence. In 2019, while speaking to The Irish Times, Keira Knightley reflected on Weinstein and explained how she escaped his clutches. She worked with the convicted s*x offender in two films. The Imitation Game and Begin Again were made under Harvey‘s banner, The Weinstein Company.

Keira Knightley said, “I absolutely knew he was a bully, and I absolutely knew he was a womanizer, but I totally thought that was consensual.” The Pirates of the Caribbean star then explained how she spared Harvey Weinstein’s clutches.
She added, “I think the reason I wasn’t targeted was because I had a certain amount of power by the time I met him. But if you’re at the beginning of your career and he’s at the top of the industry, then of course you don’t have the power to say f**k off. We talk about wanting equality. We need equality just to be safe.”

In an interview with ETonline, she said that Elizabeth Swan has sailed away in a brilliant style, which implied that she won’t be returning for another Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
