Avengers: Endgame might have released last year, but the craze around the film is very much alive even today. And the love for Iron Man is inevitable.

The film witnessed some of our favourite superheroes like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Captain America (Chris Evans) sacrifice their lives to save the universe. Reminiscing it all and our favourite Tony Stark’s journey is an old statement by Jon Favreau that’s now going viral.

“Iron Man Was Really The Story Of Robert Downey Jr’s Career”: Jon Favreau’s Statement Goes VIRAL!

Amid the lockdown, all that Marvel fans are busy with is watching the old classics and reminiscing about their favourite actors coming together to destroy the supervillain Thanos. Iron Man may never see a return in MCU, but this old statement is all of a sudden viral and will make you miss Robert Downey Jr’s presence more than even in the future films.

Director of the first Iron Man Jon Favreau in an old interview with Cinemablend had once said that he relates to Robert’s on-screen journey with his real-life journey and feels they both collide. Talking about the time when despite disagreement with Marvel, he decided to cast the actor as Iron Man, the filmmaker said, “It was my job as a director to show that it was the best choice creatively… and now the Marvel Universe is the biggest franchise in film history. Everybody knew he was talented. Certainly by studying the Iron Man role and developing that script I realized that the character seemed to line up with Robert in all the good and bad ways. And the story of Iron Man was really the story of Robert’s career.”
