Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated Marvel movies. Ever since it was announced that the Ryan Reynolds starrer franchise is now a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), fans have been waiting to know how they will treat the character. Almost every week, we hear something interesting about the film, and it helps keep the buzz alive.

Shawn Levy is helming the threequel of the MCU film. Recently, there were speculations that the Deadpool 3 trailer will drop during the Super Bowl. But when the director was asked about it, he gave a vague answer.

As reported by Deadline, at the DGA Awards red carpet, Shawn was asked if the news about the Deadpool 3 trailer was true or not. The filmmaker said that he had heard the rumour, too. Shawn added, “I so cherish my friendship with Ryan Reynolds, and it would be so sad if it ended in murder. And if I answered you with anything Deadpool-related, it would end with my untimely death, and that would be so sad.”

While Shawn refused to confirm the trailer release news, he didn’t even deny it. He would rather be good friends to Ryan than tell us anything related to the movie now. So, one can still keep some hope that we might get to see the trailer during the Super Bowl.

A few weeks ago, Ryan shared a partial pic wearing the suit and captioned, “The suit hides blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman… all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th…”

Meanwhile, the third film also stars Hugh Jackman, who will reprise his role as Logan/Wolverine, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand and Jennifer Garner. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 25, 2024.

The MCU film marks Ryan and Shawn’s third collaboration after The Adam Project and Free Guy. After the Marvel film, the actor-director will work for Levy’s next directorial, Boy Band.
