Vishwanath And Sons wrapped up its second weekend on a healthy note. In the absence of any major Kollywood releases this week, the Suriya and Mamitha Baiju starrer enjoyed the attention from the audience, leading to 19.05 crore coming in during the weekend. The Tamil family entertainer scored 7.3 crore on its second Sunday, day 10. Compared to day 9’s 7.25 crore, it displayed limited growth. Overall, it has earned 100.65 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 118.76 crore gross. With Toxic arriving this Wednesday (August 26), the film’s run will be affected, but it is likely to continue for two more weeks.

Interestingly, two months ago, the Kollywood star delivered his debut 100 crore net grosser with Karuppu. With two centuries in quick succession, Suriya is having a superb run in 2026, giving his fans a chance to celebrate big after a long time.

For Kollywood, Vishwanath And Sons is the third film of 2026 to score a century, joining the list with Karuppu and Jana Nayagan.

Recovers over 75% of its budget

Vishwanath And Sons was reportedly made on a budget of 130 crore and has earned 100.65 crore net so far. So, in 10 days, the film has recovered 77.42% of its budget. It’s still in deficit of 29.35 crore or 22.58%. Given its momentum, there’s a chance of achieving full recovery. Of course, a lot depends on how Toxic’s reception turns out to be.
