Yash’s Toxic has emerged as a major disaster at the Indian box office. Backed by a huge budget, the film relied heavily on its Hindi-dubbed version for its recovery, but unfortunately, it proved a disappointing affair. Now, after spending over 20 days in theaters, the Hindi version of the magnum opus has concluded its run as the 10th highest-grossing South Indian film in Hindi. Keep reading for a detailed closing collection report!

The period gangster action thriller was theatrically released on August 26, 2026. Backed by solid buzz, the Hindi-dubbed version registered a fantastic start, but from the second day, it began to show a downward trend. The main reason for this was the poor reviews from critics and word-of-mouth among ticket-buying audiences. It faced a complete rejection after a flying start.

How much did Toxic (Hindi) earn at the Indian box office?

Toxic (Hindi) opened at a massive 54.5 crore net. Over its lifetime run, it managed to multiply its opening-day collection by just 2.6 times. As per the closing collection update, it wrapped up at 143.92 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 169.83 crore gross. These numbers are good to decent if we look at them in isolation, but given the costs involved, the total is underwhelming.

Box office verdict of Toxic (Hindi)

Since Yash was returning after the blockbuster success of KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi), Toxic (Hindi) secured a strong deal with distributors. Reportedly, the film had a target of 200 crore net to enter the safe zone. Considering the start of over 50 crore+, it felt that at least the Hindi version would save its face at the Indian box office, but it failed to do so.

As mentioned above, the Hindi version scored 143.92 crore net, thus recovering 71.96% of the target collection. According to Koimoi’s parameters, it received a losing verdict.
