Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju’s latest film, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, is all set to wrap up its 4th week today. Yes, it shows no signs of slowing down. Not just in India, but the Malayalam romantic comedy has also impressed audiences overseas. Now, it has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film in the UK box office, beating L2: Empuraan’s record.

So far, the Nivin Pauly-starrer has earned £1.65M in the UK. It has surpassed the £ 1.61 M lifetime run of Mohanlal’s film L2: Empuraan at the box office. Interestingly, the Girish AD directorial is only their third-highest-grossing South Indian film at the UK box office. In fact, it is only trailing the Telugu biggies Pisha 2 and Baahubali 2.

Ever since its release, the film’s daily collection has not dipped below 1 crore. On its fourth Wednesday, the film earned 1.25 crore net in India against 1400 screens. The net total of the film now stands at 151.15 crore, which equals 178.36 crore gross. Overseas, the film collected 0.4 crore gross on Wednesday, bringing the overseas total to 135.9 crore. This brings the film’s worldwide total to 314.26 crore.
