Toxic Box Office: Nayanthara’s Film Becomes 2nd Highest Grosser Of Her Career, Surpasses Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu

Nayanthara had two releases in theaters the past week- Toxic and Hi. The bilingual, big-budget film Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown Ups had a strong opening at the box office, crossing a net total of 100 crore in India. It has proven to be one of the biggest films of Nayanthara’s career. In fact, it has become the second-highest-grossing film in the actress’s career.

Toxic Surpasses Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu

In just 7 days, Nayanthara‘s Kannada-English bilingual film has surpassed the India collection of her Telugu drama Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Nayanthara has had 4 releases this year. She started the year with the Chiranjeevi-starrer Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. The film was a massive success and went on to collect 218.47 crore net in India.

Toxic, which was released in multiple languages, has earned 229.6 crore in India in just 7 days. With this total, it has become the second-highest-grossing film in Nayanthara’s career. The highest-grossing film in the actress’s career is Jawan, a Hindi film co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. The Atlee-directed film earned 640 crores during its theatrical run in India.

On its first Tuesday, Toxic earned 7.85 crore net in India with an occupancy rate of 20.4%. The film’s majority of collections come from its Hindi version, followed by the Kannada version. The film was shot simultaneously in English and Kannada. The net total of the film in India across languages is 229.6 crore after 7 days.

Toxic is directed by Geethu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banner of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations LLP. The film also stars Akshay Oberoi, Darrell D’Silva, Sudev Nair, Balaji Manohar, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
