The Lion King Box Office Day 4 Early Trends: If the weekend was terrific, Monday collections are bound to make happy to the makers of latest Hollywood release, The Lion King. The movie managed to score one of the best weekends in India and is on its way to become second-highest Hollywood grosser of 2019.

During the weekend, despite a good run of Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, The Lion King garner 54.75 crores and the need of the hour for the movie was to stay on the decent note during the weekdays which could provide a platform to rise again during the second weekend. And something exactly the same has happened as it managed to bring in another 7-8 crores on first Monday i.e. day 4, which is impressive comparing to the opening day figures of 11.06 crores. The current grand total stands at 61.75-62.75 crores.

With the current trend, The Lion King will accomplish the entry in 100 crore club by the second weekend in India. Another successful outing from Hollywood!

Jon Favreau has recreated the 1994 Disney classic of the same name, to bring back the adventures of Simba, the lion cub who is to succeed his father Mufasa as King of the Pride Lands. Favreau’s film updates the classic tale with photo-realistic and computer-generated animation. The filmmaker had earlier helmed the 2016 global blockbuster, “The Jungle Book“.
