The film had brought in 3.21 crores on Friday and with the numbers being greater than Thursday [3.06 crores], it was pretty much on the cards that Saturday’s growth would be much bigger. In current times, even a romcom is hard to come by, and this one is a sci-fi at the top of it. For audiences to still warm up to it and keep word of mouth going is allowing the overall numbers to consolidate well and also set up well beyond the second-week run.
The Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer, the film is on its way to emerging as success in the theatrical business in India, and what’s coming from overseas is quite good. With the overall collections standing at 55.84 crores, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya will now be aiming to go much beyond the 60 crore mark by the close of the second weekend.
