Spider-Man: Brand New Day dropped to #5 in China’s box office rankings. It helped to push the overall weekend gross to $103.1 million cume at the box office in China. According to Variety‘s report, the movie collected $4.6 million in its fourth weekend at the box office in China, bringing its total to $219.9 million.

F9, also known as F9: The Fast Saga or Fast & Furious 9, is directed by Justin Lin and emerged as the 3rd-highest-grossing Hollywood movie in post-COVID China, but everything changed this weekend. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surpassed F9’s lifetime total to become the new #3 highest-grossing movie in China in the post-COVID era.
