Varun Tej’s latest release, Korean Kanakaraju, has completed its theatrical run. The film was released in theatres on August 7. The film also had special paid previews in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and began on a promising note. However, the strong start soon fizzled out at the box office.

Varun Tej’s latest film was a mix of comedy and thriller, with the actor playing a dual role. He played a local Telugu boy and a Korean gangster in the fantasy comedy-drama. The film wrapped up before it could complete 30 days, as new releases, especially Ravi Tej’s Irumudi, took the box office by storm.

Korean Kanakaraju had a strong and promising start at the box office. However, the film could not hold its momentum for too long. However, this film, too, did little to help Varun Tej at the box office. The film also failed to enter the top 10 highest-grossing Telugu films of 2026. It stayed short of surpassing Nari Nari Naduma Murari’s lifetime collection of 26.27 crores and entering the top 10 Telugu films of 2026 in India.

  • Budget: 38 crore
  • India Net Collection: 23.7 crore
  • Budget Recovery: 62.37%
