Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, saw a decent pickup during the last weekend, but it’s pretty much clear that Ramayana will slash away almost every film in the Hindi market. So, the crime thriller now has only the last few days left to make the most of its box-office run. It has already amassed 375 crore+ net at the Indian box office, and stands below Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Does it have enough steam left to overtake all-time blockbuster sports-drama? Let’s discuss it below!
How much did Drishyam 3 earn at the Indian box office?
Yesterday, on its fifth Sunday, the Bollywood crime thriller scored 1.75 crore, showing some growth from Saturday’s 1.6 crore. Overall, the film has earned 377.5 crore net at the Indian box office in 31 days. In gross collections, it stands at 445.78 crore. With a clean run of only three days remaining, the film won’t be able to add much to the kitty.
Here’s the week-wise collection breakdown in India (net):
- Week 1 – 243.5 crore
- Week 2 – 90 crore
- Week 3 – 28.75 crore
- Week 4 – 11.15 crore
- Day 29 – 1 crore
- Day 30 – 1.6 crore
- Day 31 – 1.75 crore
Total – 377.75 crore

Can it still challenge Dangal’s lifetime collection?
Dangal, released in 2016, was Bollywood’s highest-grossing film at the time. It earned 387.39 crore net and was declared an all-time blockbuster. Currently, Drishyam 3 sits below Dangal in domestic collections, with a difference of just 9.64 crore. While the distance to be covered looks easily bridgeable, in the current situation, it’s completely out of reach. Already, the Ajay Devgn starrer has slowed down, and with Ramayana releasing this Thursday (November 5), there will be hardly any showcasing left for it.
From the present position, Drishyam 3 is heading for a lifetime collection of 380-382 crore net, thus keeping Dangal at a safe distance.
