The iconic, high-octane Race franchise is officially gearing up for a huge revival, as per reports. This time, Aamir Khan is stepping into this twist-filled universe along with Tiger Shroff and Sidharth Malhotra. And ever since the rumors have started floating, the anticipation is sky-high with some calling it Race 4 and others calling it Race Reboot! Post-COVID, Aamir Khan has delivered two films – Laal Singh Chadha and Sitaare Zameen Par. While the latter opened at 10.7 crore, Laal Singh Chadha opened at 12 crore! In all probability, Race 4 or Race Reboot might cross both these numbers, looking at the popularity of the Race Franchise. Race Franchise Box Office!

When Saif Ali Khan led the original Race back in 2008, directed by Abbas-Mustan, it opened to a solid 6.20 crore in India. Five years later, Race 2 (2013) stepped up the action and scale, more than doubling the predecessor’s opening with 15.12 crore! The franchise reached its commercial peak in 2018 when Salman Khan took over. The third installment registered a thunderous 29.17 crore on Day 1.

Will Aamir Khan Beat Salman Khan With Race 4 Opening?

Aamir Khan literally has a very tough target to crack if he wants to deliver the biggest opening of this franchise. He himself has delivered only three close to 30 crore openers in his career – Dangal, Dhoom 3, and Thugs Of Hindostaan!

Race Franchise To Reach 500 Crore!

However, while the opening target is a tough nut to crack, Aamir Khan will surely take the franchise total to 500 crore since Race 4 will need only 169 crore at the box office in India to reach the 500 crore milestone!
