Kapoor & Sons is set to be a big Hit. After a very good weekend which saw the film scaling new heights on Sunday, the film held on very well on Monday. Around 5.08 crore came in, as a result of which the film now stands at 31.43 crore. The fall from Friday (6.85 crore) is minimal and that makes it all the more impressive since the ticket rates on Monday are cheaper.

Hold on Monday, courtesy of an all around positive word of mouth, has ensured that the film would now live on for at least a fortnight, till Ki & Ka (which aims at a similar target audience) hits the screens. The film is set to enjoy a first week of 43-45 crore and while 60 crore lifetime is a given, it could even go the Neerja way and collect higher.

The makers [Karan Johar, Shakun Batra] and the distribution team [Fox] have done their job to give a brilliant film to the audience, and the latter are reciprocating as well by giving it the kind of reception that it deserves. While Airlift and Neerja have kept the Bollywood flag high in January and February respectively, Kapoor & Sons is doing so in the month of March.
