Director Balaji Tharaneetharan’s latest Tamil comedy-drama Baththa, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Lijo Mol Jose, is showing positive momentum at the box office. Following favorable word-of-mouth, the film has registered consistent daily increases through its opening weekend. In fact, in three days, it stands at a net collection of 6.95 crore at the Indian box office.

All Set To Beat Ace’s Lifetime

With 6.95 crore net collection in its first 3 days, the film is steadily heading toward its first major theatrical milestone. It will soon surpass the lifetime collection of Vijay Sethupathi’s Ace, which earned a net collection of 8.95 crore at the box office. It would be interesting to see if the film witnesses any further jump at the box office on Sunday!

After opening with a modest 1.50 crore Net in India on Thursday, Baththa witnessed an impressive 83% surge on day 3, bringing a net collection of 2.75 crore, indicating a stable audience interest. The film was produced on an estimated budget of 28 crore. With steady theatrical holds across key circuits in South India, it has already recovered 24% of its production budget within three days, and this is not that great news!

As the man faces hunger and isolation, an unexpected friendship forms between them, transforming both their lives.”
