Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3 released on Friday, last week. Directed by Prabhudheva, the film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Kichcha Sudeep. Within 5 days of its release, the film has entered the 100-crore club.
At the media interaction for Dabangg 3, Salman Khan shared his happiness about the film’s success. He shared, “In such troubled times (for Dabangg 3) to do well is remarkable. All the credit goes to fans. And fans have been very loyal to me and they have gone (to theatres).”
A lot of protests are going on in the country since last week regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Salman said that the collections from North India have not come as Section 144 was imposed.
He stated, “In North India, section 144 was imposed and so those collections have not come. But they will go and see the film. I mean, first, it is their security and then comes Dabangg 3. In other states, we have done pretty well.”
About the latest film, Salman Khan said that it not only focuses on Chulbul Pandey, but also several social issues. Khan said, “We have touched upon so many things like child marriage, dowry, water conservation. The whole film is on this plot that if you love someone but if they don’t, then will you rape them, throw acid or kill them?”
