Anurag Kashyap is one of those maverick filmmakers in the industry who possess a set of loyal followers, irrespective of whether his outing achieves commercial success or not. He has been trolled on several occasions for delivering very niche kinds of outings but it hasn’t affected his credibility even one bit. And guess what, the director’s fans have a reason to rejoice as Anurag will present 3 more projects apart from his much anticipated, Ghost Stories!
Anurag Kashyap recently revealed about his upcoming movie Project 10. It features Alaia Furniturewalla and other newcomers in the lead. Kashyap is done with the UK schedule of the film and will complete the remaining portions in India.
Anurag also has a Netflix movie in the store with Choked. Apart from it, he is also part of the web series Maximum City, which is an official adaptation of Suketu Mehta’s novel Maximum City.
Meanwhile, Ghost Stories is set to go live on Netflix from 1st January 2020. Along with Anurag Kashyap; Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee are also a part of the project.
The filmmakers also teased fans with the storyline of their much-anticipated project, which is being dubbed as an edge-of-the-seat psychological drama, while announcing the release date via a video.
The video starts with Kashyap saying “last year we did ‘Lust Stories‘ and we had so much fun”.
The film stars Avinash Tewari, Gulshan Devaiah, Janhvi Kapoor, Kusha Kapila, Mrunal Thakur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Surekha Sikri, Sukant Goel, and Vijay Verma in pivotal roles.
Just like Lust Stories, Ghost Stories is an Indian anthology film consisting of four short films. It is the third collaboration, after Love Per Square Foot and Lust Stories for Netflix and RSVP.
