The sad and gruesome turn of events that took George Floyd’s life has shaken us all. Everyone across the globe has condemned the act and are also asking for justice. One such celeb to come forward and speak her mind is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. But the famous mythological writer Devdutt Pattanaik has now taken a dig at her for the same and below is what exactly happened.

Devdutt Pattanaik, an Indian author is popular for his take on mythology. The author took a dig at Priyanka Chopra Jonas referring to her 2008, Madhur Bhandarkar directorial Fashion.


Referring to a scene in the film that features a black man and Priyanka Chopra, he wrote, “What was that Bollywood film based on fashion industry where the ULTIMATE FALL for a BROWN girl was to sleep with a BLACK man? Can’t remember the film? The heroine? Anyone?”.


For those unversed with the incident, George Floyd, an African-American man was handcuffed and pinned to the ground. A police officer went ahead and held his knee on his neck, while he was constantly complaining about not being able to breathe. After struggling for breath for over 7 minutes, he finally succumbed to the force and lost his life. He was accused of attempting to use a counterfeit 20 USD bill at a Minneapolis deli.

The same has given rise to several protests across the US. Celebs across the globe have been seeking justice for George and Priyanka Chopra in her post that got Devdutt’s reaction did the same.
