The swayamvar show started immediately after Bigg Boss 13 but failed terribly to grab TRPs for the channel. It was a swayamvar for Paras Chhabra and Shehnaaz Gill as both them had a huge fan following on the internet and the channel wanted to utilise it in a positive way.
Paras chose Aanchal and Shehnaaz walked out of the show saying that her heart only belongs to Sidharth Shukla and that she can’t choose anyone else. But if you have been a Bigg Boss fan, you would know that Paras had a strong connection with fellow housemate Mahira Sharma and their romance rumours were going strong as ever in the house. Not just that, Mahira is the reason that Paras broke up with his long time girlfriend, Akanksha Puri.
In a recent interview with TOI, Aanchal spoke about Mahira’s equation with Paras and said, “I also assumed him to be in a relationship with Mahira, but he told me, ‘Mahira is a very good friend’. While he wasn’t too sure of getting married, he was open to an engagement on the show. ‘Kisi se achha connection bann jaata hai toh why not?’ These were his exact words.” Talking about what the future holds, she added, “I don’t see a future with him (Paras). I didn’t get enough time with him and also, we friend-zoned each other. We are better off as friends.”

Paras apparently followed Aanchal Khurana on Instagram and talking about the same, she said, “Even I am shocked, because we spoke on the phone half an hour before he unfollowed me the first time. Maybe, Mahira doesn’t approve of his friendship with me. That’s okay. People tend to be possessive of each other when in a relationship. Though he didn’t say it openly, it was quite evident that there was something more than just friendship between him and Mahira. It’s just that they haven’t accepted it yet.”
