The pandemic has changed a lot of things around the world. It definitely has changed everything for Ellen DeGeneres. The popular talk show host has been in the news for the past few months and not for good reasons.
A few months ago, there were reports of non-payment by The Ellen Show host to her employees. If that wasn’t enough, last month, several toxic workplace allegations are levied on the host and her show. While Ellen had apologised to her staff already, the matter doesn’t seem to slow down.
As reported by People, Ellen DeGeneres conducted a video meeting with The Ellen Show’s staff. She told them that an internal investigation regarding the allegations is underway. In the video, she apologised to her staff again. The apology came post 3 people parted way with her show
As per the report, Ellen DeGeneres told her staff that she isn’t perfect. The host had said, “I’m a multi-layered person, and I try to be the best person I can be and I try to learn from my mistakes. I’m hearing that some people felt that I wasn’t kind or too short with them, or too impatient. I apologise to anybody if I’ve hurt your feelings in any way.”
These three people are – executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman, and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman.
While a lot of people are slamming The Ellen Show host following the allegations, she is receiving support from celebrities. A lot of celebs like Katy Perry, Kevin Hart, Scooter Braun and others came out in her defence. Ellen DeGeneres also received support from her wife, Portia de Rossi.
