For those who don’t know, Ravi Teja took a big pay cut for Irumudi, given his poor box-office form. If reports are to be believed, he charged only 8 crore upfront fee for the film. However, now comes a twist in the tale. Instead of a traditional profit-sharing deal, Mythri Movie Makers offered him the theatrical rights of the Nizam region. It means that the profit made from the theatrical business in the region will be taken by the actor as part of the deal.

Before the release, Irumudi was expected to do decent business in the Nizam region, but in reality, it raked in blockbuster numbers. As a result, it has now been learned that Ravi Teja has earned nearly 39 crore after deducting commissions and expenses. So, the deal of adjusting Nizam’s rights for the remaining salary has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Mass Maharaja.
Combining an 8 crore upfront fee and 39 crore profit from the Nizam theatrical business, Ravi has amassed a solid 47 crore from Irumudi. Don’t be surprised if we see more such deals in the future for other actors as well.
