August 28 was a heartbreaking day for a lot of people. Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43. The actor was battling colon cancer for the past four years. He had not talked about his health issues with anyone, whether it’s his industry friends or colleagues from his films.
Boseman’s death has shattered Marvel, MCU actors and the fans. It is because of him the audience got to see the first black superhero in 2017. Black Panther is one of the most loved and successful MCU films. Along with the story and its representation, the audience loved the late actor’s performance in it.
Everyone was eagerly waiting for Black Panther 2 starring Chadwick Boseman. Sadly, due to his untimely death, superhero character won’t have his face on the sequel. But Marvel fans have tweeted to the studios to not replace the late actor out of respect. They want him to be remembered for his amazing acting in Captain America: Civil War, BP, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Some even said that if they want to go on with the sequel, let Shuri (Letitia Wright) take the mantle ahead.
One fan tweeted, “@Marvel Do not recast Black Panther! Chadwick Boseman is irreplaceable! To keep the franchise going, his sister, Shuri should be next in line of succession. (I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought of this).”
Another fan wrote, “@MarvelStudios Whatever you do, PLEASE do not recast Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa. Instead, have Letitia Wright’s Shuri take over the Black Panther role. After all, she already did so in the comics one time.”

I really hope Shuri is the next Black Panther. Don’t recast it, it won’t be CLOSE to what Boseman did. I love the character incredibly but it’s Shuri’s time now! pic.twitter.com/nJHYtZqR8O

Don't recast that role @MarvelStudios. It's done.

do not recast Black Panther, let our King rest in peace

If I were Marvel Studios, I wouldn't dare recast T'Challa for future movies. At least for this generation of films, because Chadwick owned that role.
What would be powerful is to have Shuri step up to become the next Black Panther. Because we must have a Black Panther.

Meanwhile, even in the comics, Shuri succeeds her brother T’Challa and becomes the Black Panther. So it all depends on Marvel if they recast someone as the lead like Chadwick Boseman or let Letitia Wright take the mantle ahead!
