If things were normal, this would have been that time of the year we would be rejoicing the cult Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow has become, even before its release. The actor has now in a recent interview opened about the film is much deeper in its context than its predecessor. Scarlett also reacted on the fiery speculation of Robert Downey Jr aka Iron Man making a cameo in the film. Read on.

When Scarlett Johansson’s character Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow got her spin-off film, fans were excited. The film that was supposed to hit the shores in April 2020 was pushed due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus. Now, Scarlett in a recent interview has spilled beans over the project and also expressed how it felt to be first rejected and then earning the same part.



While talking to Parade, when Scarlett Johansson was asked about the film and the storyline, she said, “It’s a film very much about self-forgiveness and accepting decisions that were made for you. It’s much deeper than anything we could have done earlier.”

If you are unaware, Scarlett Johansson stepped in as Black Widow after actor Emily Blunt had to quit. Reacting to the same, the Jojo Rabbit actor said, “The best call you can receive is after you are rejected for something and then you get it. You appreciate it more. I’ve basically made a career out of being second choice.”

In the interview further, she spoke how she was sceptical about the part and if people would accept her as a superhero. But it was later when she saw the hero shot in the first Avengers film, she got to know the impact.

Lately, there have been speculation that Robert Downey Jr aka Iron Man will be making a cameo in Scarlett’s Black Widow. The film, is technically a prequel that is set somewhere between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. This, in turn, gives the makers a room to bring in the loved superhero. When Scarlett Johansson was asked about the same. She decided to keep mum and gave a smile.

Meanwhile, Black Widow that missed its April release due to the pandemic is now set for a November release and fans cannot wait for it.
