When Scarlett Johansson’s character Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow got her spin-off film, fans were excited. The film that was supposed to hit the shores in April 2020 was pushed due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus. Now, Scarlett in a recent interview has spilled beans over the project and also expressed how it felt to be first rejected and then earning the same part.
While talking to Parade, when Scarlett Johansson was asked about the film and the storyline, she said, “It’s a film very much about self-forgiveness and accepting decisions that were made for you. It’s much deeper than anything we could have done earlier.”
If you are unaware, Scarlett Johansson stepped in as Black Widow after actor Emily Blunt had to quit. Reacting to the same, the Jojo Rabbit actor said, “The best call you can receive is after you are rejected for something and then you get it. You appreciate it more. I’ve basically made a career out of being second choice.”
In the interview further, she spoke how she was sceptical about the part and if people would accept her as a superhero. But it was later when she saw the hero shot in the first Avengers film, she got to know the impact.
