Edges closer to beating Supergirl
Supergirl is the second film in the new DCU after Superman, but it failed to replicate its box-office success. The Milly Alcock starrer DCU movie has around $152 million more budget than the Insidious installment. For the record, Supergirl was made on a $170 million budget, and Insidious: Out of the Further has an $18 million production cost. The horror movie is about $16 million short of surpassing Supergirl’s worldwide haul once again, underscoring that budget is nothing if the plot fails. Although horror movies need a lower budget compared to superhero flicks, the massive gap between the two makes Insidious 6’s win so impressive.
