The Tamil family drama had a solid first week, scoring 81.6 crore. In the second week, it dropped by 66.24% and amassed 27.55 crore. In the third, it dropped by 65.08% and earned 9.62 crore. In the ongoing fourth week, its daily collections fell below the 1 crore mark, and on the fourth Monday, they dropped to as low as 24 lakh. Overall, the film has earned 121.5 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 143.37 crore gross.

So, in 25 days, the film has recovered 93.46% of its budget and is still in deficit of 8.5 crore or 6.54%. While the remaining collections to be covered seem small, it may be a bit difficult to achieve due to the slow pace.
To become a clean success, it must earn some returns after achieving full recovery and secure a plus verdict. Since adding another 8.5 crore or more looks impossible, the Suriya starrer is heading towards a losing verdict, as per Koimoi’s parameters.
