Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali began advance sales in the USA over 10 days ago. The film had a slow start at the North American box office. However, as its October 16 release approaches, it has received a much-needed boost. The film has now crossed the $200K mark in advance sales for Day 1, including premieres. However, its collections are still far behind those of Vijay’s previous release, Kingdom.

The USA premiere shows have collected $183.7K with just 24 hours left before the film’s release. This total comes from 549 shows across 292 locations. The film has sold 10,325 tickets. With 24 hours remaining, the film is expected to collect another $100K from premiere shows.
Meanwhile, total advance sales for Ranabaali’s premieres and Day 1 have reached $270K in North America. Total advance sales for the opening weekend stand at $310K.

These figures are far behind those of Vijay Deverakonda’s previous film, Kingdom. The 2025 film, which eventually tanked at the box office, had registered $439.2K in advance sales for its USA premiere shows. The film sold over 23,000 tickets across 798 shows.
One of the primary reasons Ranabaali may have been affected is the buzz surrounding Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which was released in theatres today. The Tamil film has dominated markets in India and overseas. Not only does Nelson Dilipkumar’s film benefit from the franchise’s popularity, but it also boasts a strong star cast. The film also features cameos by Mohanlal and Hrithik Roshan.
Ranabaali will now have to rely on strong word-of-mouth to gain momentum after its release. Its advance sales have been disappointing so far. Now, everything depends on word of mouth and critical reviews.
