Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s recent release, Ranabaali, is underperforming at the box office. The film was released in theaters on October 16. In less than 20 days, the film has wrapped up its theatrical run in North America. It has had a disappointing run in the region, where Vijay Deverakonda’s previous releases performed well.
Ranabaali North America Box Office
The Telugu drama had everything going right for it ahead of its release. Vijay and Rashmika were marking their reunion after seven years. Previously, they worked together in Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam. Vijay’s previous release, Kingdom, had a strong opening at the North American box office despite failing to meet its break-even target.
Including premieres, Ranabaali posted an opening day collection of just $437K. On its opening weekend, the film earned $704K at the North American box office. This equals 6.68 crore in Indian rupees. Over the course of its theatrical run, the film failed to make significant progress at the box office, especially with competition from Jailer 2.

Fails To Achieve Break-Even
According to the final update, Ranabaali grossed $914K in North America, equivalent to approximately 8.67 crore in Indian currency. The majority of its collections came during the opening weekend. However, the film crashed at the box office in the weeks that followed.
Interestingly, Ranabaali needed to gross $2.2 million to break even at the North American box office. This equals 20.87 crore in Indian rupees. The Vijay Deverakonda-starrer fell short of its break-even target by 58.45%, or $1.286 million.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda’s previous release, Kingdom, grossed $1.76 million despite poor word-of-mouth. Unfortunately, Vijay’s latest release won’t come close to Kingdom’s final collection. The latest Telugu film has not even achieved the premiere collection of Kingdom.

Ranabaali is directed by Rahul Sankrityayan and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Ajay-Atul have composed the music. It is said to be Vijay Deverakonda’s most expensive film, with a reported budget of 120–150 crore.
