The Telugu period drama, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, marks the reunion of Vijay and Rashmika on screen after seven years. They were last seen together in the film Dear Comrade. This is also the first time they will be seen together on screen playing a couple after their marriage. The film’s advance collections are moving briskly, but it really needs to gain momentum over the next four days.

With four days remaining before its premiere, the film has collected approximately $52,000 in North America. Reportedly, only the Telugu version of the film will be released overseas on October 16. The remaining dubbed versions will be released on October 23.

Ranabaali will face major competition from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. The Tamil film will see a massive release in India and overseas. Due to the popularity of the franchise, Rajinikanth’s stardom, and its stellar cameos, the film will take up a significant number of screens that could otherwise go to Ranabaali as well. Since it releases a day before Vijay Deverakonda’s film, Jailer 2 will have a massive impact on Ranabaali’s box-office prospects. Even at the North American box office, Jailer 2’s Telugu version is ahead of Ranabaali, collecting $71,000 with three days to go before its release.
