Yami Gautam’s festive fantasy-comedy Nayyi Navelli, directed by Balaji Mohan and co-starring Addinath M Kothare, has completed its second day at the box office, crossing a gross collection of 10 crore worldwide. After opening on a decent note of 3.36 crore on Friday, the film managed to hit only a modest gain on Saturday, signaling mixed word-of-mouth among audiences.

On Day 2, Saturday, October 17, Nayyi Navelli earned a net collection of 4 crore in India. This brings its two-day domestic total to a net collection of 7.36 crore. While a 19% Saturday growth is positive, it falls short of the typical 40–50% weekend surge expected for mid-budget family entertainers aiming for a double-digit opening weekend.

Produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma under Color Yellow Productions on an estimated budget of 35 crore, the fantasy-horror-comedy has recovered approximately 21% of its budget through domestic net collection in its first two days.

Despite modest box office figures, Nayyi Navelli continues to find appreciation among family audiences drawn to its unique blend of ancient mythology, action, and domestic comedy. Featuring a supporting cast that includes Sunita Rajwar, Mita Vashisht, Anurag Thakur, Susmita Mukherjee, and Aaditya Kulshreshth, the film presents a distinct desi fantasy experience with a score by GV Prakash Kumar.

The primary challenge for Yami Gautam‘s moving forward is its trajectory. Without a brilliant jump on Sunday, the film is unlikely to cross the 12–13 crore net mark for its opening weekend. Crossing 10.18 crore gross worldwide in two days provides a shaky foundation for the film already, and the film needs a strong turnout from Sunday shows!
