For Tollywood, Sankranti is the biggest festive season. Due to back-to-back holidays, many makers prefer this festival slot for their big releases, and this year was no different. This time, not one or two but four noteworthy films arrived at the box office, and among those were Naa Saami Ranga and Saindhav. Unfortunately, these two films fail to create ripples. Let’s compare their final collection, budget, and ratings!

Closing collection of Naa Saami Ranga & Saindhav

Starring Nagarjuna in the lead role, Naa Saami Ranga was released on 14th January and opened to positive reviews from critics. Even word-of-mouth was favorable, but the same wasn’t reflected in the collection. After a good start, the film didn’t continue the momentum for long and wrapped up its run at 30.50 crores net at the Indian box office. It equals 35.99 crores gross.

In overseas, the Nagarjuna starrer did business of just 1.50 crores gross, pushing the worldwide box office collection up to 37.49 crores gross.

Coming to Saindhav, the film starred Venkatesh in the lead role. It was released on 13th January and opened to mixed reviews from critics. Even the audience feedback wasn’t completely in favor. Right from the opening day, the film didn’t put any promising numbers on the board and ended the Indian box office run at just 15 crores net, which equals 17.70 crores gross.

In the overseas market, it did business of just 1.78 crores gross, taking the global collection to 19.48 crores gross.

Budget of Nagarjuna & Venkatesh’s films

While the exact figure is not known, the reports suggest that Naa Saami Ranga carried a budget of around 40 crores, including the expenses of publicity and advertising. On the other hand, Saindhav is a bit more expensive than the Nagarjuna starrer, and as per reports, the cost of the film is around 55 crores, including the expenses of publicity and advertising.

Ratings of Naa Saami Ranga & Saindhav

After being ahead in the collection, Nagarjuna‘s film is also ahead in terms of IMDb ratings. As of now, it’s rated 5.7 out of 10. Venkatesh’s film is rated 5.1 out of 10. On Rotten Tomatoes, there’s no Tomatometer rating for Naa Saami Ranga, but its audience score rating is 60%. Saindhav has a rating of 40% on the Tomatometer and 54% audience score.
