Coming to the day 1 advance booking update, Mirzapur The Movie has sold 172K tickets (excluding blocked seats), as of 4 pm IST, September 3, 2026. In terms of collections, it has grossed 4.84 crore at the Indian box office through opening day pre-sales. In net collections, it is approximately 4.1 crore. With one more day to go, there’s a chance of hitting the 6+ crore mark with the advance sales!

To put the early momentum into perspective, Pankaj Tripathi’s last theatrical venture, Oh My Dog, generated an opening day collection of only 83 lakh. Comparing that figure to the advance sales of his series turned film, the biggie has already surpassed Oh My Dog’s full Day 1 total through advance bookings alone by a huge margin!
With over 1.72 lakh tickets already sold and a full evening of advance momentum remaining, the film could challenge or cross the 6+ crore gross through its advance bookings alone for the opening day.
The transition from OTT to a full-fledged cinematic event is showing positive initial indicators. Driven by high brand recall, dedicated fan bases for characters like Guddu and Kaleen Bhaiya, and a wide theatrical push, Mirzapur: The Movie is set for a strong opening day showing at the box office.
