Varun Tej’s latest release, Korean Kanakaraju, has completed three weeks in theaters. The Merlapaka Gandhi directorial had a good start at the box office. However, the film saw a dip in collections over the days. The horror comedy film had one of the biggest openings of Varun Tej’s career.

How Much Did Korean Kanakaraju Earn In Its Third Week?

On its third Thursday, the film earned just a lakh against 41 screens. The film’s daily collection was under 10 lakh in its third week. with scattered shows in the country. The film faced strong competition from Ravi Teja’s new release Irumudi, which is having a dream run at the box office. The net total of the film stand sat 23.53 crore after three weeks, which equals 27.77 crore gross. The overseas collection of the film is at 5.6 crore. This brings the worldwide total to 33.37 crore.

Korean Kanakaraju Is A Losing Affair!

The Varun Tej-starrer was reportedly made on an estimated budget of 38 crore. The film has so far recovered 61.92% of its budget from India’s theatrical collections. With the film nearing the end of its theatrical run, it will be a losing affair at the box office.

Korean Kanakraju was expected to be Varun Tej’s big box-office comeback after the failures of Matka and Operation Valentine. While the film showed promise in the initial week of release, it lost momentum in the following days. Varun Tej’s streak of disappointment at the box office will continue for the third time in a row with Korean Kanakaraju.

The film is yet to enter the top 10 highest-grossing Telugu films of 2026. It needs 3 crores more to surpass Nari Nari Naduma Murari’s lifetime of 26.27 crores and enter the top 10.
