Hanuman Ansh, starring Chandan Anand, Shobhinaw Satyaa, and others, has grabbed everyone’s attention amid the strong run of Awarapan 2 and impressive advance bookings of Toxic. The film was released on August 7, and during its first two weeks, it failed to make significant earnings and had almost sealed its fate as a disaster at the Indian box office. However, it found a new life during the third weekend, with more screens being allocated. Keep reading for a detailed collection report of day 17!

Screen count goes from 40 to 400 in week 3

The Hindi devotional drama was released amid zero buzz, resulting in a dismal 89 lakh in the first week. After such a poor performance, screens were massively cut in the second week, down from 200 to 40. With positive word-of-mouth slowly spreading among the target audience, the screen count was increased from 40 to 400 in the third week. And yes, this confidence by the makers and exhibitors has paid off.

Hanuman Ansh surprises with its turnaround in the 3rd weekend

As mentioned above, Hanuman Ansh scored 89 lakh in the first week. In week 2, collections dropped, and just 46 lakh came in. The power of word-of-mouth and an increase in screen count left everyone surprised, with the film scoring 3.2 crore during the third weekend. The biggest day for the film was its third Sunday, day 17, with 2.18 crore being recorded. On Friday, it had earned 15 lakh, followed by 87 lakh on Saturday.

Compared with week 2’s 46 lakh, Hanuman Ansh displayed an unbelievable jump of 595.65% during the third weekend. Overall, the film has earned 4.55 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 5.36 crore gross. Since the film has now picked up the momentum, it’ll be interesting to see how it proceeds and sustains the grand arrival of Yash’s Toxic in the Hindi market.
