After the incredible success of Deadpool and Wolverine, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) boasts 11 titles that have grossed the $1 billion mark at the box office. MCU, which had 34 titles under its belt, continued its winning streak this year after the successful debut of Deadpool and Wolverine, which passed the $1 billion mark.
Even though MCU has struggled to regain its mojo in the post-pandemic world with several films tanking at the box office, it still had two titles which grossed over a billion dollars, solidifying its reign as box office king. Avengers: Endgame, which earned $2.799 billion in 2019, leads the chart as the highest-grossing MCU movie of all time. Coming in at a close second is 2018’s Avengers Infinity Wars, which grossed $2.052 billion worldwide. It should come as no surprise all Four Avengers films are members of the MCU’s billion-dollar club.
The indomitable success of Deadpool and Wolverine this year proved that Avengers are not the only bankable superheroes in the MCU. The lads from the X-Men realm can also sell out a show.
