Lokesh is already a brand among the Tamil and Telugu diaspora in North America, and his turn to acting created genuine excitement among them. After the premiere shows, word-of-mouth spread like wildfire, and the impact was evident on opening day, with $121K (1.16 crore) coming in, including premieres. DC concludes its North American box office run with hefty profits
As per the closing collection update, DC grossed $764K at the North American box office, which equals 7.35 crore. For those who don’t know, its breakeven target was set at $400K (3.85 crore). So, the film recorded a profit of $364K (3.5 crore). Calculated further, it equals an impressive profit of 91%. With profits well beyond its breakeven point, the film emerged as a big jackpot for the buyers.
