Vishwak Sen turned writer, actor, and director for his latest release, Cult. The Telugu film has been termed a slasher thriller, hinting at its violent themes. The film marks Vishwak’s second release of the year after Funky. Cult had a disappointing start at the box office but saw slight growth over the opening weekend.
The film has received mixed-to-positive responses from audiences on social media. The pre-release buzz around the film was also limited. To add to it, the film clashed at the box office with Venkatesh Daggubati and Trivikram Srinivas’s film, Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47.
