The Telugu romance drama was released in theaters on July 24. One would have thought that the film would be drowned out by the Jana Nayagan wave. However, the film sustained and found its true audience with positive reviews and strong word of mouth.

The film had a strong start at 4.95 crore in India and registered an impressive opening weekend collection. The film maintained momentum in week 1, then gradually declined. Overseas, the film collected 6.92 crores, bringing the worldwide total to 52.2 crores.
