Chennai Express Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone’s 2013 romantic comedy Chennai Express was one of the most loved films of that year. Salman Khan made an exception and had no release on Eid 2013 and Shah Rukh Khan came with his Chennai Express instead.
The film which garnered huge hype even before the release was phenomenal on paid previews and took an excellent opening. The collections surpassed 100 crores mark in 1st weekend itself and 150 crores mark was breached by the end of the first week.
This is not it as the Rohit Shetty directorial crossed the 200 crores mark by the end of the second week and did a lifetime business of 226.70 crores.
