Revisiting Yash’s journey at the post-COVID box office
Yash has delivered only two films in the post-pandemic era. The journey began with the period action drama, KGF Chapter 2. Prashanth Neel‘s directorial enjoyed massive pre-release hype and made a thunderous opening at the worldwide box office.
In its theatrical run, KGF Chapter 2 collected a whopping 1228.59 crore gross worldwide. It is the 7th highest-grossing Indian film of all time globally. Around 859.7 crore net were collected in India. It also emerged as the 9th highest-grossing Indian film overseas with a lifetime of 214.15 crore gross.

On the other hand, Toxic has grossed 280.63 crore gross during its 5-day extended opening weekend at the global box office. The word-of-mouth is mixed, which led to a massive drop after the strong opening. So far, it has amassed 209.85 crore net, which is about 247.63 crore gross in India. The international run is also witnessing a lukewarm response with 33 crore gross in the kitty so far.
Yash crosses the 1500 crore post-COVID milestone!
If one combines the worldwide total of KGF Chapter 2 and Toxic, Yash’s post-COVID total reaches 1509.22 crore gross. With that, the Kannada superstar has swiftly crossed the 1500 crore mark with only two releases, which is indeed a huge achievement.
